Aim to spread the Good News of Jesus through music and the arts

History Formed in February 1994 by John Froud and the original trustees, to enable John to come out of teaching and into the schools of Bradford, West Yorkshire, challenging many of contemporary society's prejudices about Jesus and his church. In September 2003, a long-standing vision was realised when John was joined by a second full-time worker, Mark Drake. Also in September 2003, the team was joined by Storyteller Julie Wilkinson.

Today The Trust has grown and now regularly visits over 50 schools, with 1 full-time schoolsworker, 2 part-time schoolsworkers and a part-time administrator. Every school year, the team:

  • lead over 300 assemblies reaching more than 10,000 children with God's story
  • take numerous RE lessons, provide workshops and performances, support the SEAL part of the National Curriculum, and support schools in their daily life
  • visit schools in Malvern, Wareham and the Isle of Wight
  • take the re:percussion project to children in 2 primary schools
  • lead a number of holiday clubs, praise parties and one-off events
  • provide work experience for a number of young people
  • work with a whole host of artists, volunteers and friends

Funding The Trust receives donations from individuals and organisations who sympathise with our aim. Through salaries and grants, we use these funds to send musicians and artists into places where fees are not possible. The work we do couldn't take place if it weren't for the support of these donors. For more information on how we are funded or to find out how to make a donation, visit our funding page.

Supporters The Trust has a growing network of friends and supporters without whom the work could not go on. Volunteers, prayer partners, newsletter readers, regular givers, fundraisers, supporting churches - the list goes on. For more information on supporting the Trust, visit our Supporters page.
