The Zephaniah Trust

The Zephaniah Trust 
(reg charity no 1036478) was set up in February 1994 by John Froud and the founding board of trustees. Inspired by Zephaniah 3:17, the mission statement is taking light into dark corners. The Trust supports Christian musicians and artists who use their skills to take the good news of Jesus into schools, churches and community groups in Bradford and beyond.

History
Initially, the Trust supported John in his move out of teaching and into schoolswork, using his skills as a singer/songwriter to challenge many of contemporary society's prejudices about Jesus and his church. In September 2003, a long-term vision was realised when John was joined by two other frontline workers - percussionist Mark Drake and storyteller Julie Wilkinson. Our team is supported by our administrator, Jenny Cousens. In September 2013, Mark left us to become a primary school teacher.

Our Trustees
The Trust is supported by a board of trustees who meet several times a year. The trustees ensure that we comply with charitable legislation and we are accountable to them for the work that we do. Our current board of trustees is:
