"taking light into dark corners"

Burdens

Burdens

Weight on my shoulder,

all down the road,

no one to carry my heavy load.

My pain is personal,

don't you ever say,

"I know how you're feeling",

cos there is no way;

But I know,

there's a place I can go,

where my burdens carry me home.

My burdens carry me

to the arms of the one who loves me,

carry me to the place where I want to be;

carry me back to my father.

I thank God my burdens carry me.

I have my troubles,

my worst of times,

deep in my sorrows,

unfathomable mines.

There's no escaping,

then I realise

His Grace is sufficient

and I'm precious in His eyes;

And I know,

there's a place I can go,

where my burdens carry me home.

And when my body can't take any more,

I shall be lifted on to that shore;

and all my crying will be over and done,

I'll live forever in the land of the Son;

And I know,

there's a place I can go,

where my burdens carry me home.

I thank God my burdens carry me.
