Funding
The Trust was set up to support Christian musicians and artists in taking the Good News of Jesus into places where charging fees wouldn't be possible. The work is funded mainly through donations from individuals and organisations plus occasional grants from funding bodies. Regular Givers Over 30% of our funding comes from our regular givers - individuals and churches who have caught the vision of the Trust and give regular, usually monthly, gifts towards the work. Most of these gifts take the form of standing orders, going straight from our givers' bank accounts into our's. We are extremely grateful to these supporters - being able to rely on their gifts enables us to plan for the future and expand our work. Single Donations We also receive a significant number of one-off donations from individuals, churches, schools and other organisations. Again, we are extremely grateful for each of these gifts. Gift Aid Internet Shopping If you ever shop on the internet, you may be able to donate money to the Zephaniah Trust as you shop at no extra cost to you. Our Zephaniah Webshop is an online shopping gateway with links to loads of retail sites, including Amazon, Early Learning Centre, BT, fair-trade retailers Natural Collection and Zero Point Zero, and many more. We receive commission from retailers every time a sale is made as a result of linking from this site. You don’t even need to register your details with them – just visit the site, select your charity and retail site, click “Go Shop”, then continue as normal. Please have a look and give it a try!
A significant proportion of our supporters covenant their gifts through Gift Aid, which is an option for anyone who is a taxpayer.This means that for every pound we receive from supporters who have signed a Declaration, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping donations to go further. This means that £100 can be turned into £128, just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid.
