God's Sorrow

You turned your back on my righteousness,

You turned aside from my way,

You turned your back on my holiness,

Never listened to a word I say.

You only give me things you don't want;

What's left over's what you give;

To you I'm really low priority,

I am nothing to the way you live.

And you blame me for the things that go wrong,

And you blame me for the works of the evil one,

And you blame me for the things that you've done -

How many times do you want to crucify my son?

I have always loved you,

Though you turned your back on me.

With a love that sent my son to Calvary.

So while you give me your second best,

I gave my son's life for you;

And still you try to put me to the test -
