Idle Arts Week
At the end of June 2006, the team descended on Idle CE Primary School for one week only to take part in their arts week. The theme for the week was "Active Hearts". To see what went on in the different workshops, click on the links below...

POETRY ~ John visited every class at various points throughout the week to write poetry with the children. Poems explored "The Inside Story", looking at what goes on beneath the appearance. To read some of the poems, click here.
PERCUSSION & CIRCUS ~ Mark led percussion and circus skills workshops throughout the week. Photos coming soon!
STORYTELLING ~ Julie worked with the whole school to produce "The Story of a Heart", with each class contributing to the story. Click here to read the story - and see how the World Cup should have ended!
VISUAL ART ~ Katie worked with children from each class to produce a series of paintings depicting "Active & Healthy Hearts". Photos coming soon! |
