God said to his man Jonah, “Go to Nineveh town” God said to his man Jonah, “Go to Nineveh town” And Jonah said, “I’m going, But I’m not Nineveh Bound”
Jonah boarded a ship to go the other way He thought he could hide with the tourists in sunny Spain But God had marked him down And he was Nineveh Bound
When the wind came up, and the waves began to pound, He was thrown overboard and Jonah he nearly drowned But in the belly of the whale He was Nineveh Bound
It doesn’t happen often, but when you get a clear word There’s no use pretending that you haven’t heard Don’t turn the Lord your God down Should you be Nineveh Bound
You can try and try to give God the run around You can try and try to give God the run around He’ll use a whale if he has to, But you’ll be Nineveh Bound
